Daniel Harkett Ph.D.,
Brown University, Department of History of Art and Architecture

Daniel Harkett received his PhD from the Department of History of Art and Architecture at Brown University. His dissertation, entitled "Exhibition Culture in Restoration Paris," explores relationships between art exhibitions, social space, and the politics of identity. While at the Society of Fellows, he will develop this project into a broad-based study of viewing practices in early-nineteenth-century France. Daniel will teach Art Humanities.
