E-Resources: Columbia News
Stay up-to-date on the Columbia community through the Public Affairs and Record homepage. Learn about the latest breakthroughs in research by Columbia's faculty, the achievements of its students, staff, and alumni, and changes taking place on the campus and in the Morningside Heights community.

In addition, you may search the archives for topics of interest to you, or browse the Photo Gallery for images of recent events or distant developments, such as views of life at Biosphere 2. The Columbia WebCam provides a live image of College Walk, Low Library, and the Alma Mater statue. Images from the webcam are also saved into time-lapse movies providing interesting, fast-motion recap of everyday events on the famous Low Library Steps.

The Columbia Daily Spectator is the daily newspaper of Columbia University and the Morningside Heights community and is written and edited entirely by Columbia University students. It strives to be a good source for news and information, a forum for the expression of diverse viewpoints, and an educational and enjoyable extracurricular opportunity. The Spectator has been financially independent from the University since 1962. Published five days a week during the academic year and weekly during the summer, the Columbia Daily Spectator serves a community of over 60,000 students, faculty, administrators, and residents, making it one of the largest daily newspapers in New York City.

Check in regularly with LibraryNews to learn about new e-resources at Columbia's libraries, online and on-site exhibitions, and the latest digital library initiatives.
