Columbia Video Network (CVN) was established in 1986 to meet a growing need
within the engineering community for flexible graduate education delivered
to the working professional. CVN provides an unparalleled opportunity for
the off-campus engineer to take advantage of the same benefits and
privileges of a Columbia education enjoyed by on-campus students. All CVN
courses are now available online, and course materials, class notes,
homework assignments and syllabi can be easily accessed on the World Wide
Web.
Off-campus students enroll in Columbia courses taught on-campus by the
distinguished faculty of Columbia University, have full access to their
instructors and teaching assistants (TAs), and ultimately earn the same
Columbia University degree as on-campus students. Degrees are currently
available in the following areas:
M.S. in Computer Science
M.S. in Electrical Engineering
M.S. in Engineering and Management Systems
M.S. in Materials Science
M.S. in Mechanical Engineering
P.D. in Computer Science
P.D. in Electrical Engineering
P.D. in Mechanical Engineering
CVN makes it possible for remotely located students to get an Ivy League
education and earn advanced degrees from Columbia University's Fu Foundation
School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS). All CVN courses are now
available online, and course materials, class notes, homework assignments
and syllabi can be easily accessed on the World Wide Web. Students registered in
these classes view the lectures from the comfort of their desktop computer
anytime, anywhere.
